We finally decided on an apartment in Centerville, which is about 5 minutes away from John's new job. It's seems very nice, but small. But, it's just me and John right now, anyway. We were forced to hire a moving company, given John's current physical condition. On the actual moving day, I was sick with a cold (nice timing, I know), but it was so great to have the additional help of Dave and Gordon. They came too, and helped the whole time. It made the process go a lot faster and they were fun and upbeat, which is just what John and I needed. John wasn't allowed to pick up anything, although he had already done a lot of carrying heavy things, when we were packing and taking things to the DI... So we are all moved in! .- April 15, 2017 was moving day
Family Time
In the midst of all of this craziness, we have gotten to play with our nieces and nephews quite a bit. John has been more of himself lately, since he's made more of a recovery. He's bonded A LOT with the boys. Almost every day, they come upstairs and either watch a nature show or play "Top 10". And lately they've been watching animal attack shows on Netflix; I think it's sad but they think it's cool. When our niece watches the lions attack each other she just laughs. So funny... One evening, all of the men and boys let her paint their nails. I think John's nail polish is still on him! Forgot to remove it!... The other day we took Mom, Simon, my sister in law and the kids to see the movie "Born in China." We really enjoyed it. The kids loved it! ... We are so sad they are moving out of state. -5/1/2017
For a long while, John made himself a banana fudge Sundae every night, because he's so anxious to gain some weight. Occasionally the kids have some. This time, John sprayed the whipped topping directly into their mouths.
All tuckered out after Uncle Steve's energetic visit
Playing "Top Ten" and checking out pictures of the cool animals on John's phone.
John's pretty toe nails!
John's Recovery & New Job
He's officially signed on with the mental health department at Lakeview Hospital! So glad they gave him a job! He's done his paper work signing and everything, but won't start until next Thursday. We are a little worried because, although he is way past his six week mark, he's still having some pain and sensitivity in his abdomen. Lifting causes pain and His stamina is low; 3 twelve hour shifts doesn't seem practical right now, but ready or not- here we go! 5/1/17
Kinne & Jim Home
Kinne and Jim are home from their Hawaii mission! It went so fast, we didn't even get a chance to go out there and visit them! We were lucky enough to get a visit from them, however, at my mom's house. It was so great to see them healthy and happy. It was fun catching up. It was also really great to have the opportunity for my family to get to know them. Steve, Brent and Sarah were there, too, and they got to meet them.- mid-May
