John had his long awaited endoscopy. They weren't able to see his entire stomach because he still had some food in there (but he did follow the "no food after 7pm rule!). They did find, however, some non-bleeding ulcers. Also, they took a biopsy of the stomach tissue which will allow them to test for H. Pylori (even though, he's already done the blood test and that came out negative). The doctor suggested no more aspirin for his headaches. As a result, John has decided he will take a kind of Excedrin that contains caffeine and Tylenol. We'll see how that works. He will return to St. Mark's in 2 months to receive another endoscopy to check for improvement. 1-9-17
PF Chang's
Mom, Simon, Brent, Sarah, John and met at PF Chang's in down town SL and then went over to our place for the movie "Four Christmases." Brent laughed much harder than I thought he would. It's so fun to share mine and John's humor with my family. It was so great to have some more time with Brent and Sarah before they leave for Oregon next Friday. My favorite moments of the evening were- Mom's eye glasses at the restaurant, drawing lines with my eyebrow pencil on Brent's bald beard spots, so that it met my beard requirements, and of course- everyone laughing at the movie. 1-10-17
